About the Role
As a Technical Data Consultant at Polar Packet, you will help clients solve complex data problems, build reliable data pipelines, and address their analytics needs. You will work closely with engineering and business teams to design solutions, recommend tools, and guide clients on scaling their data capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to understand their data challenges and business objectives
- Design and implement data pipelines using modern tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, etc.)
- Build data models and architectures on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Provide technical guidance on data warehouse design (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery)
- Create dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
- Document solutions and provide knowledge transfer to client teams
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related field
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling
- Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Snowflake, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing roles preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
